BlueGrace Logistics Announces New Senior Vice President of Strategy, Mike Meier

BlueGrace Logistics announced today that Mike Meier has joined the company as the Senior Vice President of Strategy.  Mike will be responsible for managing the company’s business intelligence, data analytics, and pricing strategy at BlueGrace, and he will be reporting directly to the CEO, Bobby Harris.

Mr. Meier is a seasoned third-party logistics (3PL) industry veteran, with over a decade of experience working at C.H. Robinson in Chicago.  His most recent work has been as an independent consultant providing strategic financial and operational advice to mid-sized businesses in the logistics industry.

Bobby Harris, CEO of BlueGrace, commented:  “BlueGrace built a high-performance culture, and we are always looking to acquire talent that will help us compete against the top performers in our market. We are extremely pleased to add Mike Meier to our team. His experience in analyzing data, forecasting trends, and providing sound business judgment to executives in the supply chain industry will serve BlueGrace Logistics well as we navigate a more turbulent economy and search for acquisition opportunities to achieve our aggressive growth objectives.”

Mike has had a distinguished career in finance to date.  With deep Midwestern roots, he completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Minnesota.  He entered the logistics industry nearly 15 years ago, and he was rewarded with increasing levels of financial responsibility at the largest 3PL company in the United States.  He also brings an entrepreneurial spirit to BlueGrace, having left corporate America and working independently for a number of years as a strategy consultant.

“I am excited to join BlueGrace Logistics, a company that has a track record of explosive growth over its ten-year history.  As BlueGrace evolves from a fledgling start-up to a sophisticated mid-market competitor in the 3PL industry, I hope to offer a financial discipline and authoritative voice to the company’s leadership” said Mr. Meier.
